Badcock Furniture Selects ScanLynx Technologies Inc.

Badcock Furniture, a large appliance and home furniture retailer with over 350 locations in the Southeastern United States, has selected ScanLynx Technologies Inc. as their bar code scanner hardware and software vendor. ScanLynx Technologies is going to streamline their auditing processes by implementing audit controls on the Symbol SPT1800, Palm OS scanners. Badcock auditors will be able to upload the current inventory for any location into the SPT1800 via serial cable linked to their Linux operating system. The auditors will then be able to walk through the store scanning the bar codes on furniture to verify all applicable data including pricing. They will also verify that furniture in the store matches the database. Badcock selected the SPT1800 for it's functionality and flexibility and are planning to have ScanLynx Technologies create future applications to streamline their business functions, utilizing this existing hardware.
