Cap Gemini Ernst & Young select AssetLynx

Cap Gemini Ernst & Young announced that they have contracted ScanLynx Technologies, Inc. to provide them with AssetLynx software to track their fixed assets. They have chosen to track their assets with the Symbol PDT8100 with PocketPC because of its design and the fact that it has 32 MB of memory with the ability to increase that by another 128 MB of memory with the addition of a flashcard. Each Symbol 8100 will have the entire CGEY fixed asset database (Location; Description; Serial #, EY Asset Tag# and Cap Gemini Asset Tag#) and auditors can now verify, move, add and correct critical data where needed. CGEY expects an extremely aggressive ROI for this project as the manual process in the past consumed a large number of resources and hours.
