Starboard Cruise Services selects ScanLynx
for Duty Free Cruise Ship Application
Starboard Cruise Services operates approximately 100 Duty Free shops on
the world’s largest cruise lines such as Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity
to name a few.
Starboard’s inventory ranges from priceless gems and stones to breath mints
and shell necklaces. The complexity of their inventory and how Starboard
must manage their products was a perfect fit for ScanLynx
Technologies, Inc. A total customized inventory application was required
to capture the specialspecialized inventory and another degree of complexity
was added when inventory on the ship must be completed in less then 4 hours
(total time ship is in port).
Simplistic front end software on the scanners for “hourly” employees complemented
with a complex back end software for auditing and reporting purposes developed
by ScanLynx Technologies, Inc.
resulted in a successful deployment throughout the fleet of ships.
